Whilst creating my own advert I looked at other yoga adverts and considered how they worked, how successful the message was and who the target market was. I began by looking at Dr Louise Newson's short speech on the benefits of yoga practice for women, as I wanted to illustrate some of her ideas in the speech in my own advert.
Here Dr Louise Newson, talks about the importance of women being involved in yoga, she discusses the how important 'breathing' is and how yoga practice helps with breathing and maintain a balance. This speech shares a few benefits of yoga, including if yoga is practiced regularly by woman it could perhaps bring positive change during periods and menopause.
I also looked at existing adverts promoting yoga for women.
